Remark Office OMR Batch Header Sheet Example

Batch Header Sheet

Today’s post is brought to you by Remark Support. Our November webinar was about using batch headers, which are sheets of descriptive information that you want added to your data. For example, if you are conducting a course evaluation, you could add the instructor and/or class name. Or if administering a test, you could add a teacher, class and/or test name.

During the webinar a customer asked a great question and we want to share it with other Remark customers. The question was:

Is there a way to use the batch feature with answer keys that are different for each group (using different exams with different keys)?

Remark Office OMR Multiple Test Versions Example

One great feature of Remark Office OMR is using ‘Multiple Test Versions’ so that you can distribute different versions of the same test answer sheet to cut down on the possibility of cheating. So when combining multiple test versions and batch header sheets, if you are using a single template and choose standard answer keys then, yes, it will work well. A Page ID is required on both the header form and the test form, as well as a version identifier on the test form. The Answer keys for each test version can be scanned first followed by header form and the tests associated with each header form.

For reporting, all of the standard reports are available. However, if you want to use the Report Batches feature to filter reports by your batch header criteria, such as teacher, section, etc., some item based reports are unavailable: 105 Student Response, 160 Student Response Similarities, all the Item Analysis Reports, 310 Test Item Statistics and the 520 Changed Answer by Item.  Note that they can be run individually using the Edit|Filter feature in Remark Quick Stats, and then your reports can be printed or exported.

We hope this helps you understand how using a batch header with multiple test versions works in Remark Office OMR. Don’t forget to check out our knowledgebase for more FAQs!
